Genesis Rapide RC Disc 3
Turns out the Rapide sub-brand from Genesis/Madison bikes was short-lived; it's no longer around, with all social media and website presence gone in the blink of any eye.
Shame, as the folks over at Stereo did a great job on the branding.
As a result I got an amazing deal on this frame on a cycling forum. For a carbon fibre, disc-based frameset for the price I did, it was daylight robbery. And quickly became my next project. I sold my trusty Felt Z-95 (clocking 11k+ km) and focused on getting the various parts for this, what is my first ever carbon fibre bike.
TL;DR: Carbon fibre is plastic and over-rated, at least based on my experience so far. I also went through some serious ulnar nerve pain that seems to have been solved by swapping out the 90mm Bontrager stem with a parts bin 100mm job.
The other major blocker in parts was the wheelset. Thankfully since upgrading to Mason x Hunts on my Ribble, I had the Mavic All Roads left over, with the added bonus that they're as interchangeable as Hope for axle sizes and standards.
