Building Better Delivery Systems
Good teams don’t happen by accident.
In a bid to improve delivery processes, accountabilities and team effectiveness, I recently established DeliveryLab, a quarterly offsite borne out of a need for consistent delivery and efficiencies. The goal was to create a culture of continuous improvement rather than one-off fixes, as well as imbue a sense of accountability across a multidisciplinary team of various career levels.
I also implemented an organisation-wide OKR programme. Many organisations struggle not because of capability, but because of unclear goals and conflicting expectations.
The OKR programme ‘tree’ was based on a core company OKR which cascaded down and across to both team and individual OKRs. The intention was to clarify and visualise how individual objectives and key results laddered up and into the core company OKR.

The outcome: a shared understanding for a cross-functional team comprising design, engineering, product & project management, marketing and more, to focus their efforts on the metrics that helped move the company forwards, together.
